What do Animals do to Insulation? 
No matter the animal that is in your walls, insulation is a tempting material. The soft, fluffy nature of the material makes a great lining for nests or a cozy sleeping hole into which to dig tunnels. These animals may steal the material to bring somewhere else or pat it down with digging and urine. Gaps in siding that let in the rain can wet the insulation down further, and like that down blanket, once it’s been compressed it won’t come back. What you end up with is a wall that doesn’t protect, and possibly a smelly and unsanitary site that can be hazardous to clean without proper protection.
